Art Work

I love to draw, but I kind of suck... I never know what to draw!

I want to get better with one of my favorite things to do! So, I am going to run a "drawing idea generator". You can do a google search and find plenty of different generators.

I want to try and do a piece every couple weeks, but no promises! Maybe seasonal themes or monthly themes...

Okay, let's get to the first piece.

I ran the generator and got "Your avatar, doing yoga". At first, I was just planned on drawing myself and maybe filling in the background with a simple color. That seemed so boring and I really liked the way I drew myself. I decided to draw more a fantasy of my life. A nice early morning, getting ready to write a post for the blog. My steaming coffee and you can't forget my bullet journal. There is noway I am going to do yoga in real life (nothing against yoga!), it is not for me. Maybe stretching for a workout. I chose a bay window, because I want one so bad! I would do exactly this, sit against the glass, feeling the sun hit me like being covered by a warm blanket. I am still pregnant in the picture, I don't know... I thought it looked cute. Try not to be too harsh.

Next piece is "Drawing a song".
I really had to think on this one. There are so many songs I could choose from, then I had to remember that I have to be able to actually draw my vision. In the end, I went with an older song. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it speaks to me.

"Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence

I chose this song, because it is exactly how I felt at my worst during my depression. I felt absent and lost. I could never pull myself into the moment. Like I was running towards reality, but I could never reach that door.

Next piece is "Mash-up"
I loved drawing this! It took forever to finish the last little bit. Over all, it came out alright.

Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter.

These two stories are a lot alike in many ways. And I must say, I love them both. I colored in Frodo a little too dark.
