Packing For a Trip With Little to No Stress (a little late posting)

Typical White Girl Pose!
Hey Guys!!!

So I've had a rough couple of days. Prescribed some medicine and ended up having a really bad reaction.. it pretty much felt like I was starting to overdose. It was a really bad experience, especially being a lone with a toddler. MOVING ON!!

We're going on a trip!! In our favorite rocket ship (if you know that reference, you must be a parent). We are going to Indiana to visit my family. My dad's birthday is today and I miss them like crazy. Thankfully, it's only roughly a 2 hour trip.

Being a mom, pregnant, and have a memory of a goldfish; I made a cheat sheet to reference when I'm packing on our trips. To be honest, we only take trips to my parents every couple months on a weekend. I want to help other moms, dads, forgetful human being, or just a normal human being, pack with ease or little to no stress.

Lets start with my list.

I only check off with a pencil so I can erase it for the next trip. Also, I always write down extras in pencil that only apply to that trip (EX: My mom wants me to bring my birth certificate. So I write it down).

Now that I have my list, I can pack. I start with clothes. I usually start with the easiest person.. Zoey. I always bring one or two extra outfits for her. She's a messy toddler. I don't get ahead of myself and start focusing on packing something else. It just confuses me and I get flustered. I go left to right (Friday then Saturday then Sunday), but I think that's just a personal choice. Next is Josh, then I pick out my clothes. Of course I bring an extra outfit for myself, because I'm 25 weeks pregnant and getting bigger by the day and I get really uncomfortable.

I only use one suitcase for the three of us, believe me it's not that hard to do.

5 outfits
2 pairs socks
5 outfits
2 pairs socks
2 bras
2 pairs panties
4 outfits
2 pairs socks
2 pairs boxers

I'm going to stuff it all in here:

I'm not so sure once baby boy comes, I'll be able to.
There!! I stuffed it all in! I know, I'm awesome.. okay, it's not that impressive. The parents reading this will understand my accomplishment.

To minimize AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE; I threw in our shoes, and Zoey's blankets! Yeah, for real!
Don't believe me? WEll..... That hurts.

5 shoes and two smaller blankets fit perfectly and I probably could have fit something else.
In the front pocket, I stuffed in all of Zoey's pull- ups (10), I PAD and the charger, and Zoey's tablet because it was having issues...(and charger).

We have a matching shoulder bag that I use for all of the medicines and hygiene products.

To protect everything, I used a shopping bag (because we were out of Ziploc bags). In the shopping bag I had the toothbrushes, toothpastes, and shampoo.

See, that's not too much. I then rounded up all of our charger, an extra sippy, and a hat for each of us.

Zoey has an adorable Frozen bag and it is the perfect size for all of her night time items that she can't sleep without. Yes, she has alot...she is extremely anal haha. I threw a book in there too for the morning readings. She likes me to read a book 2 or 3 times every morning.

It's so cute! It has a smaller book, her teddy bear, baby, glow worm, and light up ladybug. Her baby took up most of the room, because it's the size of a 3 month old haha.

I'm all packed! Yay! I put it all in the car, including Zoey's booster seat, a xbox one with everything we need to kick my family's butt in Halo, a hard surface floor cleaner machine thingy... my mom let us borrow it back when we moved in, and of course her diaper bag.

The more stressful the process, more likely you're going to feel like you forgot something or you do forget something. I hope this helps at least a little for someone.

Have fun packing and have a nice trip!
